Offshore Internet Question
Can someone tell me what options are available for high speed internet while offshore? I would like to be able to connect while away from the dock in south Florida and if possible in the bahama's?

Call OSO Steve at the office # (954-463-1101). He is the king of mobile internet connections.

Re: Offshore Internet Question
KVH sat. goes live in May with broadband out to 200 miles from the east coast!
Their new system will permit continuous broadband while in motion. How Kewl is that! Treo Sprint is good in U.S. waters, not broadband but it is okay. In the Bahamas I needed to subscribe to Bahamas Tel cell phone services years ago, likely the same today. Call them, they were VERY helpful in telling me how to hook-up. I believe they had a plan for people like me, a on month plan for the short time I was there. Used it for my portable computer. Bahamas Tel were friendly and they knew whay the He$$ they were talking about, unlike the U.S. company cell phone reps I have had the displeasure to deal with. |
