ny boat show/ filthy fountains
never ever saw anything like it at a boat show. the fountains looked filthy, NOT from people touching them just never detailed from the dealer who brought them to the show. if i was reggie fountain i would pull their dealership on the spot. and i do not recall who the dealer was just remember it was someone in new york. i commented to a couple of the sales guys there and they said the dirt was no extra charge ... real cocky aholes please take notice if anyone goes to the show

I saw the same thing, and totally agree with your comment about the salesmen. I also thought it was tacky having Reggies signature lit up in what ever color neon lights. Fountain lost their only good dealer in the north east and that was Ocean Performance.

I am going to the show tonight. I will take some pics and let you know if they were clean.. The new Fountain Dealer on Long Island is MAriners Cove in Hampton Bays. And yes they are pretty full of themselves.

Trenton Marine was one dealer. I don't know if the boat came from them. I agree with cig275, the whole crew in the booth had a real smug attitude.
On the flip side the crews in Donzi and Cig/Outerlimits, Typhoon and Ocean Performance respectively, were top notch with courtesy, respect and knowledge.

A few years back, a buddy of mine and myself drove up to Trenton Marine from Baltimore. The salesmen were rude and inconsiderate. Now mind you we didn't arrive in a beat up Datsun 210, we rolled up in Mike's new Hummer. And to further illustrate that we weren't tire kickers, within a year Mike bought a 43' performance boat and I bought a 38'. Sounds like other OSO members are getting the same treatment.

Typhoon and Ocean Performance are class acts. I have been in boat show booths with both. Not only are they knowledgeable and sociable. They are hilarious. Especially Frank from Typhoon. I always learn something from him.
