Default Shifters- best configeration ?

I am in the process of replacing my original Morse zero efforts with a set of Gaffrig/Larvorsi's...my old setup was shifter/throttle/throttle/shifter...I bought the new ones from a friend,,,had them re-powder coated and reassembling...so I have them now as S/S/T/T they do have trim in the handle...whats everyones preferance...and why ??? ...thanks Dave

If they are all atached, I like S-T-T-S. I really think it's what ever you think looks good or works for you.

STTS for me.

SSTT makes it hard to handle the starboard shiftter with the throttles and the other shifter trapping it. Shifters are also smaller usually, adding to the problem of access if in the SSTT config to the starboard one.

I really prefer SS on the left hand and TT on the right like my Formula. I had SSTT on the Donzi, and decided I would try STTS on my Scorpion. I really think I liked the SSTT better for docking. I may try to swap them from the way they are on the Scorpion.

I currently have two trim switches on the left throttle. If I had it to do over I would run one trim switch on the throttle and then three rockers (LBR) on the dash. It's hard to get both trims under my thumb at the same time.

I LOVED that set up on our Powerquest for 12 years. When we moved to the Cig they are separate and it takes some getting used to... Now it's second nature when you are docking.. Unless you have engines that LOOOVEE to surge while docking in high wind.
