Obviously we could start a never ending thread on cat safety. What's safer at very high speed? 6 people in an open cockpit or enclosed? Go to any big poker run and you're likely to see both cats and v's with full canopies. Is that a good idea?
We've tried to incorporate all conceivable safety measures into this. 6 people trying to get out of an escape hatch? So what's the answer?
This boat has a concept that some people want. It's not for everyone.

Plain and simple: We do not recommend closing the roof for pleasure boating at high speed. Once that roof is closed it's a race boat and you need to take all the precautions required for safety.

Beautiful Boat- Loved The Details And The Video Monitors. Just Curious Terry- It Appears That There Are Only Four Bolts Holding The Side Windows In. Are There Other Hidden Fasteners Or Other Means Of Securing The Windows? If Not Why Did You Choose Only Four To Hold Them In?

Beautiful rig! I'm surprised a functional retractable hard top hasn't been perfected and introduced to market prior to 2006. All the big players should follow suit... great looking boat Nor-Tech!

Just another reason why Nor-Tech is quickly becoming my favorite boat manufacturer. You'd be hard-pressed to find a boat that looks more bad-ass than a Nor-Tech cat...awesome job! :cool:

Just got back from a run. Brad from Mercury figured out what was going on with the stbd. motor.
Ran out of prop and will run again later today with smaller diameter and more pitch.
Not too bad for now though.
