Well, the lake is still a write-off. The tank was clear enough yesterday to get a boat in though. Have faith, summer will come.

Is that test tank lined like a swimming pool? And do you have any filtration or water circulation? Just inquiring.

No liner.

Big time filtration system. We have to keep the water clean and the pH levels good.

We have 12 tubes (six on each side of the back wall), each 12 inces in diameter, to circulate the water around to the front when we have big power floating at the back of the tank. Otherwise, we'd blow out the wall, even with cut down props.

Just about to go out the door for Sarasota and saw your thread. Tell me - when will the ice be off the Bay ?? Not that I am in any hurry to get back up there. 85 deg and nothing but sunshine here today. Gulf is dead flat calm and weather is to hold for the weekend. :D
Hoping to hear from Raymond later to day on our "little project" and look forward to having him on the boat Sat. Next time he should stay home and mind the store while you get away. Oh, I forgot - he's "working" LOL :D Later.

Isn't climbing in the back of the pick up a concern? How much HP/Prop Pitch and RPM have you had that tank worked at?

GL, its a sweet set up. Essentially 0 pitch water beaters are installed for props. BIG anchors are installed in the concrete to tie the boat to as well.

That can eliminate problems BEFORE you get to the ramp or out in the middle of the water. Sweet.
