Cat trailers...Need Pics
Brought my trailer up to a trailer builder last night to redo the bunks. Id like to see some pics for ideas on how to set this up. We are looking to redo the bunks to get the nose up and drain water better. Add a drive gaurd and a bow stop. Any pictures for reference/ideas would be helpful.
Thanks

Tantrum, sorry no pics on this puter but I had my trailer built with a bow stop/ stair case/ winch post to make getting on the bow for cleaning much easier. Just like the big cat trailers I have seen.

i always thought this was a well thought out and simple trailer...
you will notice alot of cats (especially the ones with no rub rail) don't use a bow stop, but use the straps in the rear to hold the boat from going forward...

I was thinking about a colapsing bow stop, so you can use it to load the boat and then move it out of the way so there is no contact when trailering. Ive seen some pretty nice boats all rashed up from rubbing while trailering.
I also have stairs but no winch so Im always paniced that Im going to run into the stairs when loading.

Like Sean said, I tie it down with 4 straps.

Re: Cat trailers...Need Pics
The Skater trailer is getting a major overhaul this year. New axles (brakes), a chit load of painted steel diamond plate is coming off and the landing gear is going to be elevated for ground clearance. This trailer is soooo tongue heavy it is unreal. May also change it into a goose neck like the OE.
The OE trailer had some work done to it after this pick. Added diamond plate walkways to operate the winches without busting the ol kiester. You can barely see it in pic #2.
