Anybody figure out Form 4136 to get the fuel tax rebate for boat gas yet? I got my state refund, but I can't figure out the federal form. I don't see general boating as an option. Any tax types know the answer?

I don't believe theres a FED refund. just a state. The road tax refund is usually a state thing. If I remember the fed tax isn't for road maintnance, thus being non refundable. I'm not 100% sure though. If you go to the BOATUS web site, and look up Government affairs
Government affairs You should be able to look it up. ;) |
Thats what I was saying. It's only available to businesses.

In Missouri, it is available to everyone. We have taken advantage of it the last few years. I am not sure, but you may have to file it with the state that you bought the gas in.
