I can't begin to imagine how you feel.

I wrote a letter to your Govonor giving my personal experience with development at the lake of the ozarks and how Senator Dials quote that

" Dial also said he hoped the bill would encourage developers to build resorts, golf courses or gated communities on the lakes. "We were told this, that if you don't do something, nobody's coming," Dial said."

Could not be farther from reality!

That's one of the most backwards statements I've ever heard.
Perhaps one of the biggest attractions to living on a lake is boating, in all sizes big and small.

Ever wonder why these guys spend a million dollars to get elected to a $100,000 a year job?

These miscreants would sell their wives and kids for a well greased palm.

Sad, but this is coming to all lakes in the U.S. unless we
orginize. My lake is heavily regulated now. The park commision
is now in the process of doing a 3 year boating recreational use
study. Problem is, its in its 3rd year and we the people are just
hearing about it. We have to organize. We are now in the process
of forming a powerboat association in Lake George to protect our
rights as citizens. I can only hope the people affected support
it. Its easy to be complacent. Then all of a sudden your way of life
has be legislated away by a select few with an agenda. I have
no time to do this, but I'm doing it anyway. Get Involved or we will
all be havin a barbecue with in-laws in the backyard instead of enjoying
ours boats at the lake.

That bill is ignorant. What a great way to encourage people to spend disposable income in Alabama. Great way to encourage tourism. Great for family activities. NOT! All politcians are crocks, like Fred said why would you spend a mil to get elected to a $100K job. Kickbacks!
