Yeah...back In The Late 80's, That Hull Used To Be Called 226es. You'd Be Way Better-off With A 24 Outlaw For About The Same $

Thank you all for the advice I think I am going to pass on this one. I'm glad I asked for advice here before buying because I was close to making an offer. I like the OL I think I'll wait around for one to come by. Does the outlaw have more space in the cuddy? By looking at pictures of them they look a little more spacious.

What about an hx2? There is a 98 hx2 that is mint (no pink!)near here for $24k it has all updated 2006 parts on it as far as the cockpit goes. Are these good boats or does the outlaw have alot more apeal?

I would look for an Outlaw maybe with the SST package. Great package boat. They are fast, handle the rough water very well and resell retty good. Most of all they are a great value. Look at a 24 or a 25. Have fun....

The H2X is a fast boat. But its not a 24 degree hull. So its not going to be as good in rough water. And I dont believe the cuddy is as spacious. Id stick to looking for a Outlaw if you want more room and a better ride. But go in person and check some boats out. It should help you make a decision.

The HX2 looks sharp but is not a true offshore. Much less freeboard, and less sharp vee than the OL. Baja OL running surfaces have been pretty consistant thru the years, but look for an updated cabin in '98, with a true walk-thru entry instead of the crawl-thru on earlier models. You'll want at least a 454 365hp Magnum motor to break into the 60's. Great boat that many on this site have run! Good luck.
