Rat,I'm running a titch under 950 hp with 5"ggb's with water added right at the tips of pipes. Boat goes EXACTLY same at wot with or without, actually idles BETTER with the mufflers on.The i.d looks real small, like 3 1/2 or 4",GPM ordered some for his 1350hp blower motor and felt they were too restrictive and sent them back but he's the only one I ever heard that wasn't happy,Smitty

Ratman, you might have misunderstood what I meant,my water is added at tips of the pipes (which is inside the muffler) so I'm running the mufflers wet. Might get boat out saturday if this warm weather holds,Smitty

Rat, I'm adding the water to the exhaust stream at the end of the 5" tailpipe. Stainless marine called it "stellings style". There are little perforations all the way around the i.d. of the tailpipe within 1/4 inch of the end. The water comes up from the riser thru a hose, goes into the water jacket of the tail pipe the lenght of it and is introduced at the tip thru the little perforations. Because the muffler slides over the tip and is clamped down this water is being introduced into the inlet of muffler. I could take a pic but all you'll see is the 5" tailpipe with a bung on front end of it with a hose and fitting. From the transom you just see the mufflers over top of the tailpipe. I'm getting the boat out tomorrow,I'll take some pics of the ugly azz manifolds and post,Smitty

Smitty, after waiting 9 months for the special order mufflers not to show up, I had to keep the 4.5s that Grahm sent. I was leaving on vacation and didn't want to get thrown off the lake. I never cranked the motor all the way to see what happened on top end, but I did see a 200 degree increase in exhaust temp by 6000 rpm with the mufflers installed. I used to have pictures of the inside, the 4.5 was pinched down to 3.5 or 3.25 ID. Graham would have taken them back all I had to do is pay the shipping both ways.

Mine work good on 1100hp
I also have Stellings mufflers in line before the GGBs. They all end up sounding cool.
