Question Lake Laurel River - Kentucky

Can anyone tell me about Lake Laurel River in Kentucky?
My boss, also a boater, was going to sheck it out today.
I was doing some searches, and THOUGHT I found the rules and reg's, but my dumb azz was looking at Laurel Lake in New Hampshire.
Anyone have any experience here?
Are there any HP/Speed/size restrictions?
I guess a gal I work with (her Dad) has a 82' houseboat there, so I'm assuming size is not an issue.
Any info?

Bouyhunter,
I've spent many fun days on this pretty, medium size lake. Not much traffic, clean deep water and plenty of access.
There were no speed limits when I ran there (15 years ago). The noise police were starting to crack down, but not a big deal at that time.
This lake is right off I-75 west of London and Corbin KY.
Huge Lake Cumberland is a 45 minute tow to the west in nearby Somerset if you get bored.
Regards,
Steve

Real nice lake! Lots of smaller boats and lots of skiers! I went there a few times when I had inboards. Nice easy tow! It is right off the hwy and only about 2.5 hours for you.

Thanks for the info guy's.
I'm looking at the 2-2.5 hr drive, thinking this could work. I'm kinda considering doing an old Donzi classic for a little while to get me back on the water (fit's the budget, and doesn't require a larger tow vehicle). I'm not really interested in boating the Ohio river (but I'm sure I will a little).
I know Cumberland is only another 45 min to an hour, but, double that (going down, and coming home) it turns into a "deal breaker" for a Saturday run down, and run back Saturday night.
I was thinking Laurel might be an option.
Byron - how's it going?

The Lake is pretty small compared to Cumberland but the water is very clear and clean. We ski a lot and chose to rent a house boat there because it is much less crowded and easier to ski. Houseboats also rent a lot cheaper there. Definitely need to check it out. I think you'll find that by the time you get to the marina it's not going to be much shorter trip than to Burnside or Lee's Ford on Cumberland. On the weekend it can get pretty crowded though. The upper end toward Damn is narrow very deep and rocky. The other end is more shallow and wider. The lake is a forestry service property, no houses on this one. Never had problem with noise and my Eliminator.
