Tie Bar Question

I'm looking for a tie bar for a twin alpha one settup. Is there a reason they didn't come with one? The drives are NOT counter rotation. Is it a bad Idea to put one one? Does anyone have one I can buy. Thanks Scott

I know they do make them. My 28' Pantera had twin Alpha SS drives with it and were not counter rotating. The boat had a great ride and never had any handling problems.

yes you can get them. my baja 265 force had twin alphas. rode fine, but when you stopped fast, it pulled to the right hard, torque steer.

Re: Tie Bar Question

I put one on my 29 scarab years ago. I had a worn gimble on the counter and wanted to make it through the summer. Got it from eddie marine. You will have to measure the center to center on the drives. Works great! Pic here http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...d.php?t=127600

There is a latham bar I found for bravo's. I researched these probably too much but look at the latham somple heim joint ends, and then look at the eddie marine where it mounts to the saddle. I think eddie marine design allows for more mis alignment of the drives without stress on the end. That was why I opted for that design, just seems to be a beefier bar all in all. Check it out , what do you think?
