How shallow does your depth gauge read before...

How shallow does your depth gauge read before you throttle up to get on plane? I'm probably way to conservative looking for a reading of 5' ever since I installed solid hubbed Stainless 4-blade props. :rolleyes: I'm sure that most of ya'll have much more sophisticated and more expensive equipment than me!

5 Feet? Boating in the Barnegat Bay, the only place I see 5ft plus is in the lagoons.
