Post A little rough

It was a little rough heading out to the “Lake” this morning...

Canal Park, Duluth MN

Probably should wait until after the channel end before I put her up on plane.

Good thing we don't have any "big" water on the lakes, eh?

Mike,
Yeah, those Ocean boys must be pretty hard core if this "Lake Chop" is nothing to them.

Chuck,
I tried called the guy once, but couldn't a hold of him. Gonna wait a little, Dustin burned a new program for the motors, and I'm finally going have one of the motors pulled out and dyno'd. I was going to talk to the guy you recommended at the Chicago Boat show, but it doesn't look like I will be able to make it. I still got his number though (thanks again).

Bayley,
Easy on that ocean boy stuff. Have you ever run the following inlets? Barnegat bay inlet, Corsons inlet, Hertford inlet in NJ or Indian river inlet in DE. Rarely are they ever flat. Big breaking white water and swells.

Red face

I use to live in Oswego NY and saw this quite a few times and it is definately some impressive water conditions to stay away from. Just like Oswego, you get brainless idiots out there and they get washed away in a second and the coast guard and other authorities have to risk their lives to recover them!! No wonder the Edmund Fitzgerald stuffed it!!

"If you can see the lighthouse, it ain't rough" LOL!

Actually, looks like those sea walls might be a little low. And those people look like they might be a little stupid. LOL!

It's cool to stand on the piers (if they are high enough to not get washed out) and look down as the waves go by and notice the movements. Especially when you get 10-12' swells in a narrow channel like the one in the pic.

Got a surfboard?
