Shogren gone in Detroit?
I was checking out the website and It doesn't show a Detroit office anymore, I looked on Fountain's site and my zip showes J & J in OH. Anyone have different information?

Try harrison township. Shogren marine set up shop last summer at sundog marina on south river road in harrison township.

Hey Derrick, That sucks, had a fountain dealer back in detroit and there gone already? Biggest fountain dealer in the world? And its all from chicago? JC

N Chicago not that far away. Lower overhead means better deals.

Michigan has all the lakes and the demand for performance boats has declined. The Beach had Fountain/Wellcraft then Shogren and now nobody in the state for Fountain again. Formula has one dealer up North...Sunsation uses a broker to show their boats...the sport is way down...everybody is buying big SeaRays..go figure...if you want an offshore go to the Miami show and have it sent up...good luck with service.

Figures, I was just going to set up a launch date for my Fountain as I did last year and went to the website and no phone number :( I liked dealing with Scott there plus the had a few boats to look at. Guess I should of been buying not looking :p

We actually moved all of our business under one roof in Waukegan, IL in November 2005. This allows us to service our customer base more effectively. Unfortunately, with all the challenges in the motor industry and the high unemployment rate in Detroit it made good business sense.
We are still here to make sure our Detroit customers get the highest quality of service on boats they purchased from us. Sun Dog is still a full service marina that has the ability to take care of those in need as well. Regards, Shogren www.chicagofountain.com |
