It wasn't that bad .About 15 min.I took a die grinder with a carbide bit and cut the collar in half .Then I tried getting a pair of channel locks on it and it would get a good grip to turn it.So I just cut 4 groves in the brass nut and beat a socket on it and it came right off. It would be that hard to steel a prop if you could cut the collar s off easy.Keep that in mind

Thanks guys for the suggestions!!

strip next time, brake clean the nut and key, then apply a thin film of grease to the surrounding area, then mix up some jb weld coat the inside of the key with it, put that on the lock and put a strip of masking tape to hold the key on, let it dry overnight and unscrew it.

IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN, JUST PARK IT ON THE TICKFAW NEXT TO A CYPRESS TREE AND COME BACK THE NEXT DAY.

Whats really sad is that whoever took the drives probably sold them for a few hundred bucks cause they had no idea what it was worth.
Rob Missed you Sat. We got to the prop stop about 2:30 or so and left there about 5 or 5:30 then got a rope stuck in the prop.
