Cabin Air Conditioners

Hey Guys:

Does anyone know of any small, easy to install or portable air conditioners for the cabin of a 28 Pantera?

Thanks for your help in advance. Don't feel like sweating this summer.

I use the Cruisair carry on and love it. It's not as portable as the suitcase ones, but it'lll freeze ya out. About the size of a medium cooler. Sits over a hatch opening and runs off 110

$400 is the going price here too. Last yr I picked up 2 just a few slips from me from 2 people getting out of boating. paid $100 each :evilb: Figured if I dropped one in the drink, I'm still ahead.

I just installed a Cruiseair 5K unit in my 312 Fastech. Permanent installation was tight but it's done and turned out great!!

Russ, did you READ the post "PORTABLE" air conditioner  , Look on ebay for the Cruiserair hatch unit works very well, just a little bulky in the cockpit.

Hey Party Boy,
Here's a quote from the original post. "easy to install or portable air conditioners" So permanent is an option.....but I'll admit, "easy to install" may not fit my application either.

PS James, We're coming to the Ocean Marine P.R.!!!!!

Sharper Image Store: ICEflow™ Personal Air Conditioner

The fan that spot cools with an ice-chilled breeze!
$129.95

Works great if you have a 110 plug in your boat.

So, not too many opinions about the carry on from West Marine?? Marine Air, 7000 btu.

Have one. Use it at the marina. Works pretty well for my application. Have not seen/checked out Cruise Air, are they comparable??
