I wear mine all the time......I like the clip to the belt loop on the shorts. The over the wrist lanyard just seems to easy to come off of your wrist as you fly thru the air. To each his own.
I do like the idea of the lanyard matching my boat though

I have one lanyard for both engines. I also keep a couple extra lanyards on the boat, and I know how to jump a switch if need be. I keep a small caribiner on the end of my lanyard, and normally clip it to the bottom of my shorts leg openning. It then hangs down, out of way of my arms, waist, throttles, wheel, etc.
And as for speed limits, no I don't obey them to the 'number' of the law, but pretty darn close.
The point of the thread is to show a little 'Monday-morning-quarterbacking' ahead of time on this particular issue.

Sydwayz - glad you started this thread over here - on "another site" this thread got a little heated when one of the members objected to the statement that "anyone who does not wear their lanyard is an irresponsible boater".
I always wear my lanyard...

Probably not because she will be freeking out but the thought is there......
There have been a few situations on screem and fly over the years were the guys boats come around and almost hit or hit the drivers when they get tossed. Talk about a bad day!!!
