I just got sticker shock! I called Progressive for insurance on a 1982 22 foot Donzi Classic. With an agreed value of $15k, they wanted $1809 a year! I know guys with 22's valued at $55,000 and a helluva lot faster paying a lot less! I asked them why, they said probably because I live in Florida.
I had them sign me up for liability only for $101 a year. Boats US was at $1700+.
I guess they want me to help pay for all the boats that got trashed in this state the last two years. Hell, I own eight of them, and NONE of them got trashed.

I can insure in Florida for some of my carriers and in the other staes with most of the rest.I just faxed the quote for the 38 DONZI.
