Default Blowing A Motor Above 100 MPH ???

What would happen if you blew a motor or drive On a twin engine boat Cat or V hull ??? For instance if the motor or drive blew and locked up the drive say above 100MPH.

Would it hook ? Turn hard ? What does it do ?

Thanks

Rob

Rumor has it,running around 150 or so and you jammed your drive with shrapnel,it wouldnt be pretty. When they rig something that goes that fast, skater, mti, nortech ect a number 6 is worth its weight in gold.I havent heard of one blowing up have you?Im by no means an expert any opinions?

Never over 100 but:

I had an engine on the cat shut down at 80+. The boat just gradually slowed down.

The other day one engine was acting up so I used both to get it up on plane and shut one off on the way to the ramp. After about 4-5 miles it sat back down in the water. So I ran one at 3300 and the other at 2000(as much as it would go) and the boat handled in a normal operating fashion at 40 mph (just very slow).

Rob,

Neverheard of anyone loosing control after a motor or drive gives at speeds around 100 - But in a boat on the water - Anything can happin!

Saw you on Saturday in Madisonville but we did not see you back at Charlies "Fun House" - Prop stop must have been kickin!

I had a 28' Daytona loose spark on one engine at 90. No hook, slowed down to about 45 and ran 5 miles to the marina on one engine.
