Speedboat Magazine?
 

I ran across a 2005 copy of "Speedboat" magazine. On the cover it said it was from the editors of Boating magazine. Does anyone know anything about this mag? Is it still in publication? I REALLY liked it. It focused on all offshore stuff and no hydroplanes or jetboats or any of that other crap that doesn't interest me much.

Yes, it's pretty well done. Put together by Eric Colby, technical editor of Boating (former editor of Powerboat)...also a fellow Mainer! :D

Anyone have anymore information? A website maybe? Or a way to get a subscription? (assuming its still in publication)

I Picked Up An Issue In The Atlanta Airport Last July. I Loved The Mag But Have Not Been Able To Find Anywhere. Better Than Powerjoke.

Right now I think it's once a year, they were taliking about doing it quaterly.

It was by far the best boating mag i have read to date. And I think I've read them all.

I just received paper work from them this morning. Their next issue is slated for June/06' and I think they are going to have another one sometime later in the year.

Absolutely the best powerboat magagine in publication. Only have two issues but have learned more from them than my stack of powerboat or hotboat.Real useful info, hope they continue

I agree - the articles on headers, back to back tests on power, and their reviews are the best out there. Its like they aren't dependent on advertising to make comments.

I really enjoyed this mag, and it's articles. I rate it up their as one of my favorites with Extreme mag. Jeff

Speedboat is a great publication. Eric Colby does an awesome job with it...awesome tests and valuble articles.
It puts Powerboat and Hotboat to shame.

I called and checked on it. It is not currently available for subscription and it is currently only put out once a year. As others have stated it is a GREAT magazine and I told them to make it a monthly and it would sell like hotcakes !!!
