I dig the sound wall-- very thoughtful, probly mandatory considering your location. Needs a manatee mural on it. :evilb: |

Yeah twin Stotler 850SC's in her.

Re: My new apache video
Oh yeah Innovation marine was required by the state to dig a 25 foot deep sand pit and put up that sound wall for the surrounding businesses not to have to hear the racking of big blown military and performance marine engines. Sand trap for the oil etc in the exhaust and they will have to dig that up and have all the sand burnt after 25 years Dennis told me.

Re: My new apache video
How does one burn sand?
|
Re: My new apache video
with alot of gas and oil in it, I would assume any incinerator would love it, flare it up pretty easy I would think.
Who cares anyway, I GOT AN APACHE! |
Re: My new apache video
"How does one burn sand?"
EQ in Belleville, Michigan (just north of Detroit) burns sand and other "dirty" dirts. The incinerate it in large pits and use tractor trailer dumps to bring it there from anywhere in the us and canada. |

Re: My new apache video
Thanks for all the compliments, I have some work to do to it before I drop her in the drink, nothing huge, and I MUST take the pressure washer to the bilge and clean it, change a few cables, and get her ready to go out.
Cant WAIT! J |
Re: My new apache video
Hey Jay,
Congrats on finally getting what you wanted. I know you looked for sometime. |
Re: My new apache video
Been a VERY long time, but with Oh Holy One there to bounce things off of and ask the right questions to, I think I came out WAY on top. Survey says kevlar and carbon fiber layup, staggered and half cabin on #3a's Hell for what I paid for it, I could not have beat the deal anywhere else.
Okay she needs a face lift but hell its a 41 apache! :evilb: <- Rain Dance baby! |

True, True, but then again we needed rain to put out all these damn fires down here.

Re: My new apache video
Jay,, I'm just bustin your chops,,, I was actually surprised how quiet she is w/ 850 ponies...

Re: My new apache video
Congratulations Jay. I wonder where is superbutthole or whatever his name is that was bustin your balls a couple of months ago...
It is nice to own something special, one of a kind. Is she a full stagger (18 inches) or half stagger (24 inches)??? Do you know the dry weight of the boat? and another question is what the drive ratios are and prop pitch. I would like to compare to my boat setup. If you have pink interior panels covered with vinyl you can dye them with Mar-hide or similar to get by for a few years. I did some boat seats with it and they looked great 6 years later when I sold it. Clean them good and soak them heavily with laquer thinner right before spraying. Re: My new apache video
Okay stats from the survey
Drives are #3a's with 1.65:1 Ratio's Weight, 10500 (kevlar and carbon fiber layup as I was told on the survey) Short stagger so 24 inch center to center Prop pitch on there now 17X31 3 blade cleavers (of course) Chris, The boat is actually louder than you think |

Yeah he said he was headed over there when I talked to him over the weekend. Thats cool, Let me know, Im going to be pressure washing the bilge, Taking that tail pipe off and changing out the cables for the drives and planes and replacing them this weekend. Then I can soap her all up and clean her off, she is DIRTY! Dirty, Dirty little girl!
Then if I can on Sunday, Take those damn horns off! J |
