Power Steering Pump Help
I have a 1995 Mercury HP500 with the Mercury power steering pump. It looks like a standard GM pump, but uses a hollow bolt and a matching "collar" on the pressure-side hydraulic hose. The pressurized fluid flows through the bolt into the doughnut shaped cllar and into the hose.
Here's the question: I need the copper washers that go between the pump, collar, and bolt but I'm not having any luck. Does anyone have the correct part number? Is this the normal set up on this motor? Can I convert to a more common fitting on the back of the pump?
Thanks for the help!
Jeff

Re: Power Steering Pump Help
That fitting is called a "banjo" fitting & is made by AeroQuip, Parker, & a few other vendors. Your local industrial hose & fitting supply house has them & the copper crush-seal washer should be available individually. Hope this helps.

Re: Power Steering Pump Help
Should be able to get from your local NAPA. We use them for some caliper fittings and have about 20,000 on hand. If you can not find what you need, let me know the ID and OD and I can probably help.
