Re: Cant Get Trs Drive On Boat
We had similar problems putting on one of my SSM3A's. The first drive slipped right on while the second kept fighting us. We then hung the drive from an engine crane and it went right on.
If the u-joints are acting too 'floppy', you can always shoot them with a CO2 fire extiguisher to temporarily freeze the grease. Make sure it's a CO2 extinguiser though.... Good luck, Barry |
Re: Cant Get Trs Drive On Boat
I have always fought with putting on trs drives then someone told me to make sure the boat is sitting level while on the trailer. all I do is crank the screw jack on the tongue of the trailer down then go put the drives on. works every time quick and easy. make sure the spline is greased good this also helps
