Tim, Tim, Tim,
I stood all I an Stansk and I can't stansk no more. 1st of all Joe Scro's talents and experience are very well know and respected. 2nd of all this World Championship chatter is a farce, the new boat has raced in Vegas with 1 competitor and Destin with 2 the 1st day and 1 the 2nd( the rest of the year was in the old Fountain) 1st day bumpy, 2nd day flat. If it is so fantistic how come we couldn't invade there race with our old beat up resin bucket? ya know like they did to On the Chip, Traffic light and the other boats that ran OPA all year. We, Strictly Business, On the Chip, Traffic Light, Wazzup, Delicate Sound of Thunder, USA Auctions, Papa Dukes, Joker,Crime Pays and the rest of ours teams ( please forgive me if i didnt name eveyone) ran every race as fast as we could no matter how rough it was and were all beat up by Destin. Still I didnt see one team in any class pull back the throttles no matter who built there boat. Yeah we got a stringer to fix , Chip needs some work too, but we'll fixem and be back next year, so watch out! Mean time we'll see next year, after a year of racing which boat is the world champion. The guys driving them are all world champions as far as I'm concerned. Oh before I forget, my cousin is coming over for Thanksgiving, he's the top camaraman for the wide world of sports. I want him to look over your pictures and critique them, see if there's room for improvement and the such, see who is better you or Jeff, get some competition going that involves denegrating your hard work. You getting the picture Tim?
Well I'm ordering some of your pic's tonite cause I like them.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Louie

Were they DQ'd for that???

"The Yachts Fountain crew admitted they struck the Lucas boat on purpose because it was squeezing them on the turns.

Since this quote was deleted on Sharkey's thread I wanted to re-post entire story so things were not taken out of context.

BOATING KEY WEST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Final boat race matchup grows testyBY SUSAN COCKING

THREE WIDE: Lucas Oil, front, dominated all competitors to capture the Super Vee class at the Key West World Championship on Sunday. The final race for the Super Vee class title at the Key West World Championship briefly turned into naval surface warfare between the French and English on Sunday. But when the spray cleared, the English boat -- Lucas Oil -- emerged the victor.

Yachts Fountain, the defending Super Vee world champion, bumped Lucas in a turn during the ninth lap, damaging Lucas' gunwales. Then both boats lost power in one of their engines, allowing Joe Boxer Patron 57 to cross the finish line first. The fourth entry, Shogren Performance Marine, dropped out early.

But Lucas -- owned and throttled by British native Nigel Hook of San Diego and driven by James Sheppard of Sussex, England -- took the checkered flag with a total of 950 points for the three-race series. Lucas won on Wednesday and Friday and finished second Sunday. Joe Boxer -- with driver Chivas James and throttleman William McComb, both of Sarasota -- was runner-up with 907.50 points. Yachts Fountain, crewed by Frenchmen Michel Karsenti and Serge Allegre, came in third with 812.50.

Hook was jubilant at winning his first world title in 15 years of offshore racing.

'Winston Churchill said, `never, never, never give up,' '' Hook shouted. ``This was well hard-fought.''

He was not upset about the collision.

''I don't hold anything against them -- even though they are French,'' Hook said. ``They're great racers, very competitive, and they weren't going to give up.''

The Yachts Fountain crew admitted they struck the Lucas boat on purpose because it was squeezing them on the turns.

''I had no choice,'' Allegre said. 'Do I back off all my life? No. I tell Michel, `Don't back off.' And we pass. So we pushed him.''

Miccosukee Indian Gaming overcame a melted outboard engine to win its first world championship in the Stock Class on Sunday. Owner/driver Daren Schwartz of North Miami and throttleman Troy Hannon of Davie limped in on one outboard, finishing second to rival Deep V Cats. Wins on Wednesday and Friday and a higher overall average speed gave Miccosukee the title.

The drama among the smaller boats overshadowed the race's overall winner -- Superboat Vee Unlimited-class Panasonic/Seminole Hard Rock Casino.

The 44-footer with twin 1,075-horsepower engines driven by Mike Seebold of Marco Island and throttled by Fountain Powerboats president David Knight of Washington, N.C., swept all three races in its four-boat class to repeat as world champion. Panasonic also won the Top Gun trophy for fastest in the 42-boat fleet, averaging 99.22 mph for the series.

''I wanted to come down here and establish Fountain Powerboats vee bottoms as the fastest boats in the world, and the way to make a statement is to win all races very handily and always in control, and that's what I think we did,'' Knight said.

I do believe the team won the title, not the manufacturer. I could be wrong but I believe they earned the points to become national champs and could have done it in a bayliner!
