Trailering Question for NYC
Thinking about towing the boat thru the Lincoln tunnel to Liberty State Park and avoiding the GW bridge. Is there any issue with trailering a 33ft boat with an Excursion thru the Lincoln tunnel?? Has anyone done it before. Is this set up too long to stay in your lane and not be able to made a wide turn thru the curves without the trailer going into the oncoming lane??

You should be fine the curves are real gentle.

It's permissible, but why? Personally I wouldn't trust the person in the lane next to me.

Make sure your not over the legal width, had a buddy get in some chit for towing a ten foot wide boat thru the tunnel.

You should be fine...as I remember, trucks can go through there also. You are under the legal (width) limit. I don't know about lenght limit.

I don't think it will be so bad once your in the tunnel. The problem I see is before you enter. There is so much traffic trying to get in the entrance -NYC side- (all entrances) you would have to be real careful. If your going to do it, go at an off time.

Re: Trailering Question for NYC
Active, run west outta Debs inlet, and take a nice wide turn to starboard after brooklyn.
This should get you running north under the Verranzano. LSP is on the left. Thats the easiest (and most fun) way i can think of getting the boat there. :D :D :D |
Re: Trailering Question for NYC
as said previously its the bulk of traffic (and azzholes) that make towing in the city a real hassle just pick a good time and you should be ok good luck
