Sounds like a sucker bet to me. Everytime Hardlywood makes a movie that involves anything with a high performance/racing car/truck/boat they screw it up and call it "artistic license". B.S. :mad:

I am going to support the movie because what other movie do we have out there that has high performance boats in it? :rolleyes: I am just glad to see they offered to put bacardi, speed racer, mojo, and others in it, it may bring some new fans to offshore racing and plus is nice for their sponsors. Support the little bit of spotlight offshore racing gets on the big screen and quit complaining.

The racing team of Crockett/Tubbs is in the "Mojo" MTI so it would at least be a close race.

The pleasure boats they sport are a 43'zr(silver) and a 38'zr(blk) for the bad guys.

I have very high expectations, and hope to be blown away. I grew up on Miami vice and still watch reruns when I catch them. Seriously when i was like 10, I would see the credits with the Scarab and knew that I had to have a performance boat.

Think the same thing about Al Pacino, Dog Day Afternoon and the reason his charactor robbed the bank, paved the long road to Hollyweird making Broke Back Mountain. Heat is however still one of my fav. movies!!!! :D

Johnson was not into hi perf boats prior to doing the series.

After Heat have big expectations and I'm also a big fan of the series. Mann was also behind my most watched film as a kid, No Man's Land with Charlie Sheen and D.B. Sweeney: "Italian trash besides I only steal Porsches!" despite the film being written by Miami Vice series destroyer Dick Wolf of far too many Law and Order no talent spin off series fame! Most of my favorite films and T.V shows Mann has been invovled.,...

is there anyone out there with a new idea for a movie? come on all these old tv shows being made into movies suck! not one of them have been any good. sure mann did some cool stuff on the tv show , but why rehash old s##t. what happened to being creative with new ideas and taken chances? I will not spend the money for a ticket on this one. :mad:

We celebrate the newborns as well as grieve with each other's losses.

There has to be enough material here to do a movie no doubt.
But the creators of the movie magic would have to figure it all out on how to put it all together. :drink:

I think it will be very entertaining!!! You guys put too much into it...It's just a flix with offshore boats and Mann soundtracks..I'll bet that those who say they wont see it, WILL.........Ya gotta judge for yourself...
