Re: Price of fuel - impact on boat market?
Forget boats...
I'm buying guns and ammunition and then I'm going stockpile diesel fuel and gold.
I think that this is a short term problem (though that doesn't make filling up any easier these days). With the price of oil at an all time high, the oil industry has the motivation (and profits) to dig for more oil. Resources that were formerly off limits will become available. At some point they will start pumping more oil out of Iraq.
I continue to watch asking prices on boats and I haven't seen a big dip yet in prices.

I am dealing with by upgrading from a 330 to a 475 hp motor and also by towing it with a drango that gets 6-8mpg when towing. I call everyone who doesn't run dock pirates.

The low dough market is hot.
Posted my 1987 CC Stinger260 with twin OMCs on boattrader last Monday and it is already gone. And I got what I wanted for it. 10 serious inquiries in the first week. Ad came down after 7 days.
