Default Speeds on a 06 35 Fountain w/windshield

Buddy of mine just bought an 06 35 Fountain w/525's. What I'm looking for what is top end, and how does the boat get up on plane rather quick or slow. Anything he needs to be worried about vs another Fountain model. Any info appreciated. Thanks Jeff

I believe it's a lightning. What is the difference between the two. Thanks Jeff

Hey Jazz, I believe the Lightning has 2 steps and the X has 1. I am not sure if they put shields on the X model. Fairing or windscreen. Have 2 buds w/ these!

From what I have seen with Fountains, slow out of the hole but real fast when they hook up. I think high 80's no problem with that boat.

Jass, your buddy should have gotten a sheet with speeds on it at all different RPM's also showing drive and tab settings, water pressure, oil pressure, oil temps and such. Use this sheet as a guideline to learn to operate the boat. Also with all new Fountains the give you a DVD explaining everything from running in rough water drive and tab setting to docking. Also there is some cool race footage too!
If the boat is proped for top end like most Fountains just drop the tabs all the way down and tuck the drives and it will pop on plane.
