Hopefully we'll be there. Metro Park, I believe, is the place where the boats are parked. I think the ramp is like 4-5 miles away if not Cash Bar should remember.

Re: Boat Ramp Jacksonville

Mapquest the stadium and you will see Metro Park between the river and stadium. That is where the boats are docked. The truck/trailer parking is also there but the ramp is 2-3 miles away. Find Hyatt, then stadium (east, few blocks) then continue over old red steel bridge and make first left after overpass and then you will make another left to head back towards the river. Small ramp, no parking to speak of. It is right next to a full service marina. River is no wake/ slow speed back to Metro Park. MP is a top notch city marina/ floating docks/ plenty of space/ currents aren't too bad inside marina. Caution for bigger boats up against sea wall, particularly the corners- Can be Shallow, Debris Collects there.

Re: Boat Ramp Jacksonville

I'm debating putting in at Friendship park there in downtown Thurs. evening and just get the boat docked and truck/trailer parked. But I would need someone to drive the truck/trailer over to the stadium, so if anyone's available to help out, it would be great. I can't get out of work early Thurs like I was hoping to, a bunch of Velocity guys were putting in at Astor and going by river. I wouldn't even be out on the water until 7 at least. (F'n boss  )

Re: Boat Ramp Jacksonville

Actually main stadium is ALLTEL Stadium, the other one must be a smaller park on the same piece of land.

Unsane, There will be plenty of people around helping. Last year my wife had a guy drive my truck back over bridge for her. This has to be the most assisted event I have ever been to. Metro park will have 20+ people there just helping with dockage, answering questions etc.

PC- I am computer retarded, can figure out how to post so here is a link- http://www.flpowerboat.com/new/photo.../05-11-087.cfm

Re: Boat Ramp Jacksonville

The logistics of the ramp rather sucks. You have to have someone to drive you tow vehicle back across the bridge and park it. Not a bad ramp though.

Arlington Marina is where you want to go to launch.

Do a map quest, it is easy to find.

Re: Boat Ramp Jacksonville

I will be there with Bschoe and ChrisK and we get in mid-day Thurs. I know where the ramp is(kind of) and we can help with dropping boats/returning trucks. The ramp is pretty easy to use but no turn room and definitely no parking.....

We should be caravaning up with Lucky Strike, Cig Addiction and Team Taboo.

Anybody needs advanced contact for help, call or PM.

The ramp is hard to find because you have to go ver the bridge and into a back neighborhood to launch. Iy is best to follow somebody who has done it before.

Is it all no wake around the ramp? Is there anywhere we can test without idling all the way out to where the PR starts?

Take a map of the poker run if you plan to run in front, it can be tricky,
I used to live there and know the river very well, Navigated Ryan Beckley to the first stop, we were the first boat there, a 24 ft Skater with twin 200ob's, we even beat RF 42 race boat. :D

It was a 25 or 30 MPH zone heading east (towards St Aug, hotel/metro is west) from boat ramp last year but we ran WFO all through there. I would do a 25-30 run up and WFO back through there on the way back if Johnny Law is absent from the area for test/tune but what do I know since I got some yellow carbon paperwork in Daytona last month for doing stunts like this!
