Default push or pull style?

i wasnt exactly where to post this, but what is the difference between a push style and a pull style foot throttle? thanks

Good question - never heard of it, but I'll guess that the linkage is hooked up reversed from a "car".
If you slam into a wave, and brace your feet with a reverse, you slow down instead of plowing and speeding up.
Just a guess - do I win the prize?

its how the cable hooks up, do you want the cable to pull the throttle plate open or push them, most boats are set up as a pull set up
