this answer won't help you at all, but, if you run your prop on the wrong drive, like it happen to me, then if you want to go forward you'll have to run on the reverse of your transmission. I know now for sure the 2 disc cluth of the reverse does not handle a lot of horsepower like the 7 forward disc clutch... I learned that through a couple dollars to spend to fix this problem... But I'm sure you already knew that...

a 10-18-014 is rated for 595 ft lbs tourqe .

I ran 550 hp on 71C's for 5 years until they started slipping and switched over to some BAM's. No problems otherwise. I would think a 72C could handle a decent amount more.
