Re: Here comes Tropical Storm Alberto
Boy, did that change!!
Last I knew Alberto was still a low grade tropical storm. Now it's packing 70 MPH winds.  One step way from hurricane status. Sorry guys. I hope it doesn't doo too much damage where ever it makes landfall. |
Re: Here comes Tropical Storm Alberto
Yep, 70 sustained now, it should be a hurricane by landfall.
Nice Southwesterly wind right through tampa bay - not good. |
Re: Here comes Tropical Storm Alberto
High tide is around 2pm in the bay where I live. With this wind water is starting to stack up in my canal. gotta go raise the boat up some.

Re: Here comes Tropical Storm Alberto
I hope this storm does not affect the NY poker run.

So far NOAA.gov and weather.com say sunny and 80* for Friday and Saturday. Anyway, hope the storm doesn't gain anymore strength. :( |

Re: Here comes Tropical Storm Alberto
I do not believe Tampa will get a lot of wind damage.

Re: Here comes Tropical Storm Alberto
Me too, Fund.
Like Mike said, the wind won't be bad, nor the rain -- it's the tidal surge that worries me most, and it doesn't take much to bring it up a few feet. |
Re: Here comes Tropical Storm Alberto
Cig, any news on when this surge will be. Right now it is high tide and it is pretty normal in my canal.

Re: Here comes Tropical Storm Alberto
Nick I drove to St Pete for
a closing and Gandy Beach was high tide and the trash cans were floating. |
