Most all the houses here have pools so the yards are big enough. However if you are looking for a real big lot, pool and boat in the back on a canal for $900k you will not find that in Tampa or any other major Florida city. You will have to go to small towns north of Tampa or south of Tampa by an hour or 2. You can get an awesome house with pool and dock plus lift in Mira Bay for $900k though.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I added it to the list.
RE: The Lot .. I am not looking for anything huge, I just don't want to be 2 ft from our neighbors and have room for a pool in the back. Any bigger than that and I'd end up spending all my boating time working on the lawn...
Angela wants to take a quick trip tis weekend, so we are thinking about heading to Tampa for 2 days. I haven't been there since I was 12.

Just south of the Gandy bridge on Tampa Bay on the Tampa Side. Nice place with very nice docks. Sucks that the property was sold and they will be going private within the next 18 months.
