He should follow Bob Teague's lead . . . things would be a lot quieter around here. And he might be a couple MPH faster as a result.

Would SR really have been doing 150-170 if Rio wasn't egging them on........

This was an attack on a group, but also SR. Notice even in the pre-run idle zone they were sure to single out SR whenever possible.

I'm sure there have been many vids(I've seen the Predator) that show cats running fast and loose. The difference is none of them sent out a PRESS RELEASE afterwards.

Thats garbage. If Reggie jumped off that bridge would SR have followed? If he owns a Cat like that he should know what he should and shouldn't do. If he doesn't know that then he shouldn't be allowed on the water just because.

Really?

SR would just be MAXING out his equipment when he was running ALONE(if no Rio) more than 1 mile ahead.

RACERS back off when they have a lead.....just common sense.

I guess we pull out the Fountain and ignore all the other 120 plus mph boats that were in attendance? I watched another poker run video here a while back and the guy was doing 160 mph with a bunch of passengers and I heard ZERO complaints. Why is that?

Get two 110 mph boats going the opposite direction and what do you have if they collide? The same collision speeds.

Your assertion also lacks common sense.
If you read my earlier post to Fever Mike, I clearly stated it isn't about Fountain or Speed Racer or whoever else is claiming to have "destroyed the fleet". My point is (again) that if this is one's intention, it should be done on a closed race course where the general boating public is not put in harm's way.

I'm not condoning or supporting others (non-fountians) for doing the same. However, I do feel that as a professional and leader in the boating industry, one is held to a higher standard.

My opinion is obviously different than yours, so why don't we just agree to disagree ...

Thanks Fred. Your reaction is very understandable. It is very difficult to lose a friend under such tragic circumstances. It is not my intent to reopen wounds, just don't want people to forget how fragile life can be.
