Removal of Stains

We where in the Chesapeake this weekend, and when we pulled our boats out the hull is yellowed. Is there anything we can use to bring back the white. Also the water seemed dirty than usual! Whats up with that!
Thanks

I love Bio-Kleen. Stuff works everytime. I have only seen it at our local boat dealer though, so not sure where else you could get it....aside from their website :D

All the rain over the last month has made the water pretty brown and muddy..

You can remove the staining with some star-brite hull cleaner, spray it on and hose it off... active ingredient is oxalic acid... diluted muriatic acid will also work..

I use the same stain and mineral remover I dump in my pool. 1/2 pint to the gallon, just spray it on and let it set for 10 minute. Nice part when it blows back in your eyes it doesn't burn.

Do they make anything that doesn't have ACID in it that will clean the stains??

The acid etches the gell coat making it porous making it stain easier after each use :(

Most marine stores in our area sell a product called "ON & OFF". It is a combination of acids but it works great. Brush it on and in less than 3 seconds the stain is gone. No scrubbing required. Just rinse it off and you are ready to go. I have been using it for several years and I have no reason to try anything else. It is amazing.

on off is one of if not the harshest acid cleaners,,, oxalic in the star brite is pretty mild.
