Blown Number 6
Has anyone actually blown a number 6 drive. It would be the upper if anything right? At speed not left the throt up and shifted. :rolleyes:

Last year at Point Pleasant (Ortley Beach) the AMF Outer Limits blew the bottom off a #6-everything was gone below the cavitation plate :eek:

I blew two #6's but it was due to the front nose cone coming lose and allowing water into the case. Finally had to replace the lower casing.

never heard of one on a pleasure, but them again never heard of a Konrad failure either,

I blow the prop shaft right out of a #6 drive with 1200hp

Nope, no spin out, just running. And there were no marks on th hull, so I don't think they hit something, just blowed it up-with T53 turbines of course :drink:
