West carries the box anchors, I like the Fortress aluminum anchors but I don't anchor much. I do have a small one that I use in the jet boat, only 2.5lbs. I have a big one in the Velocity that I put together once. I leave it unassembled the rest of the time. Fits nicely that way under the back seat.

As for chocks, I'd go with the Seafit Stainless 406761 and add the lock 143961 to it doesn't come lose on you. You'll need to drill the shank on the anchor to make it work. Both are west numbers.

I have a Fortress but didn't want to put it on the boat wthout being able to secure it. Anytime I've wanted to turn off the motors I usually just run offshore and drift. At least a mile or to two out is safe you won't drift into any Panthers. :evilb:  :drink:

I used this one, thru bolted to my bulkhead in the anchor locker, along with the 143961 that Mr. V. listed.

Hijacking/joining...........

also looking for a good means to secure my Fortress/Danforth.

Keep it in the cabin closet now but it's a pain.....

plenty of room next to the single engine in the Pantera. Looked at West site but not sure I was visualizing the chocks working and steel rubbing AL etc, seems some type of plastic cradle and latch system would be best??

any ideas/pics??

I have the same set up as Panther and it works great. The only downside is everytime you want to use the anchor, you have to raise the engine hatch up to get to it. But the securing system works great, and keeps everything nice and tidy and quiet.
