Re: Did Anyone Go to Jammin on the James this Weekend?
The party is just ending!!! A good crowd Friday night, a few that stayed out late. Sat night we made it to the boat around 2:30. 96 boats I believe, a few break downs and some other "mis-hap". Party on the docks were GREAT! Some of the women came out in outfits that...well, let's just say I'm glad the pool water was cold! The dock and hotel situation was even better than before, band was great and even the dinner was better than years past. (the only problem being the distance of the walk from the docks to the hotel, but still worth the trade off).

Nearly flawless event. Much bigger and much better than years past, and that's a hard event to top!!
Dreamboater sheared off a prop shaft after he outran the helicopter (28 Skater). Runnin Gun broke a universal joint after lunch (42 Sonic), and due to some congestion and confusion on a short no wake zone, 2 boats bumped together, but there were no injuries; just some fiberglass damage.
Lots of folks spent most of the day on the water today, and are just coming in. I had other obligations and had to jet early. I am sure there will be more to come. The photographer took nearly 1500 pictures from the chopper and ground; not to mention the video.

This run was a blast. Steve done a great job. Everything was nice. The weather even turned out nice, but hot. Thanks for the marina pools. Enjoyed seeing you guys there. The parties were great too.
