Remember: "NO good deed goes unpunished." You tried to do a good and helpful deed, and look what happened. Still, I think MOST people would appreciate what you did, and would want to know about it. Great idea.

Funny about the pic! People yell at me at me all the time for making wake when I am traveling at 4 knots. They think loud = big wake. Their brain is confused, it should be deep draft = big wake. Like on large fishing boats. <gg>

Sharkey, where exactly is that 1st card stop? Is it going to be a boat anchored somewhere outside the river?
I want to take the kids to watch the fleet go by if I can.

Its nice of you to give a heads up to the smaller boats that could take a break and go in for lunch, or pee break :p . the sport fishers are ones that don't give a hoot to the smaller boats most of the time. :mad: I see that up here in the capecod canal all the time. Usually just South West of the Barnegat inlet on the west side of the bay. There is a big Marina down there, Cape ???
The card stop boat is usually off of there about a 1/2 mile.

Thanks Air Time. I feel if we let these people know up front that we will be coming through, they have a chance to avoid the area for 30 minutes....

Be sure to let him know that if he's fishing in the channel and obstructing traffic that he's also responsible......

I never understood the who thing about fishing in the channel. Yeah, I understand the fish may be there but if you expect traffic on the parkway to stop just so you can change a flat tire you have another thing comming! :eek:
