Sorry CB, didn't mean to get you steamed! But I thought it was noteworthy for all the folks at LL. It's another classic example of some critter, that would probobly do just fine, without the HELP of man, BUT instead it becomes another tree-hugger poster child, (IE MONEY MAKER! :evilb: ) to SUE the GOV"T over! :evilb:
Hope you guys @ LL get alot of rain this summer!
Dean

I'm sure the mussels experienced high, and low water levels way before there was ever such a thing as the Corps of Eng. They seemed to survived it just fine. If they are worried about sturgeon, just ride up the Suwannee River during the summer. You will see them launching out of the water like polaris missles. A freind of mine was riding the Suwannee when one jumped up, the fish hit a female passenger and she had a lot of injuries. They had to airlift her out. :(

What's wrong with extinct mussels? Or any other species for that matter. Glad these idiots were not around millions of years ago or we would have to watch out for dinasours in our rivers today. What's wrong with extinction? I sort of wish the mother-in-law thing could do just that.
