LOTO to short??????

I wish everyone would agree to meet in one location, thats not to short, not to long, not to rough, not to calm and run these damn things.....on KILL....no EXCUSES.....no pump gas, no little props, no women in the boats, and any pro driver you want. I want to WATCH!!!!!!!!!

How long is the LOTO course. I thought it was a mile or more. How much do you need? I've seen Callan go 200 on that course and Bacardi Silver do over 180.

Are you talking like a Bonneville type setup where you hit the traps full on then have a 1 mile "speed" trap where the real number is captured?

I don't know, BLEE said it was to short in another thread. A kilo run is 3.3 miles I think???

1 mile and you start from a dead stop unless you are a direct drive boat and then you get to start from being on plane but it isn't like a kilo run.

Hence the 150ish number on SR at the Shootout, but 170ish number on an extended run.

they will let you roll into start , last year towards the end they were letting you get into throttle well before line, Dave hit over 185 last year, a full top end race which would be need to be ran from 6 mm to 19mm thru rough nasty water which would be a handful for anybody or 1-2'chop from 25mm to 41mm is a great run, there were several 150mph plus boats who smoked thru that area last year in the high stakes shootout, a speed of over 175 was ran with plenty of water that day, knowing how to get top acceleration is also relative to how quick a boat is. there will be a black boat at the top of the trophy this year anyway, and yes a cat.
