Sarasota Race this Weekend!
 

Who will be out for the APBA/SBI Sarasota race this Sunday July 2nd? I plan on going down on Friday or Saturday to check out the pits and say hi to some friends. On Sunday I will be out on my boat.
If you see me in the pits say hi and if you see me on the water ( all white 38 TE Fountain triple 275 Verado's) you are wlecome to raft off.

Mike - Nancy and I will be there. We're going down on Friday with the boat for the OPBA Poker Run on Saturday. We will be staying at the Hyatt all weekend, returning on Monday. Hope to see you down there.

I will be running down from Palm Harbor Sunday morning. As of right now, the forecast looks good - Winds 8-10 mph from the East, 30% chance of rain.

Nick - give me a call when you get down there - we should be arriving around 5 PM Friday. If you don't bring your boat, I may have room on mine Sunday to watch the races. We can go raft up with FeverMike...

I just got a call from my neighbor who is staying at the Hyatt on business, she was all hyped up asking me what was going on, she said she saw a lot of posters with boats like our's, I said Black Thunder!! she said no just that type, cracked me up, like our's is a race boat. Unfortunately she has to leave tomorrow before all the boats come in, she said the marina is pretty empty. I told her to wonder the docks asking if anyone knew Ms PatriYacht :D Good thing for OSO and this thread I sounded like I knew what I was talking about. Have fun, wish I was there :drink:

The OPBA (Offshore Power Boat Association) Poker Run should have 35 plus boats registered and have more room...log onto www.opbafl.com for registration and more information.

Helicopter and video are in place and ready to drop the throttles.

Last minute check in and Captains' Meeting Saturday 9:00AM at the Sarasota Hyatt.

We're here at the Hyatt and had dinner at the Boathouse. We have Lucky Strike hitched up to the OSO rig parked in front of the Hyatt and will launch tomorrow. The only boat at the dock is a 36' Concept. Hope to see everyone tomorrow!

yup - trailering down the Motion tomorrow afternoon. Nancy and I just got done making about 150 jello shots for the weekend... can you say OOOOHHHHHHHHH YEEAAAAHHHHH!
