Mercedes MTI vs. Bad Skater!!!

Re: Mercedes MTI vs. Bad Skater!!!
The more modifications made the more costlty and/or difficult the maintenance. No I'm not nuts. I'm having a 44 being built right now and I've done my research. Plus it's just common sense D.S.! No offense intended to the owners of the boat if that's what you're implying.

How many boats have you heard about that were finished "just before the show"...or "just before the race"

Please........ Sea trials are not as common as you might think.
Basically, the engines are started to "see if they run"....Maybe the boat is floated to be sure there are no leaks....... and that's about it in many cases.

One other thing ...with today's mega HP motors...other than the warranteed Mercruiser offerings...
You have a small and very finite engine life....sometimes measured in minutes...... so a true wide ranging Sea trial only shortens the already precious engine lifespan.

You're right, I'm wrong. I know nothing about boats or those that drive them. I know nothing about the craftsmanship of MTI or Skater. I have no knowledge or research regarding the marine manufacturing process.

I know that Fountain tests all of their boats before leaving the factory. Even runs them up to WOT and takes notes. As for others I don't know but I would hope so.

Like I said....insufficient sea trials.

If anyone has anymore pics of the Mercedes boat - I'd really appreciate you sending them to me. As I work for Mercedes and a hardcore boater - that would really dress the office up a bit - Thanks!!
