Re: Sunsations new 43' f-4 breaks 90mph
I asked Joe about the weight last week. He said about 10k. You'd better get your orders in now, boys! They have quite a few on back order right now, before the boat did a one-off! When they started building it, they said that it would hit 80! I'm pretty sure that was with 525s, though.
They think this boat will really put them on the map--I think they are right!

Why are all the builders putting gauges on the passenger side now? It seems that it would be difficult to look over there to check everything, especially at higher speeds. Cig started it and now many are following.

That's so your co-pilot can scream at you at about 90MPH and tell you what gauge is dropping off Hopefully you will hear him

I too, don't care for the gauges over on the passenger side design. I would think it would be a distraction when you are doing a gauge scan, and trying to watch the water ahead at the same time. Just my .02

Gauges on the left side are not the primary gauges you look at all the time. Hard to tell from the pictures, but they have them set so they are pretty easy to read. You can also get those readings from the Merc View 5000 unit in front of you. I asked for the full package of gauges so they had to go somewhere.
Boat weight is not in yet. All the interior is not in yet. Between the hatch and cabin they have 500 lbs to add. It should have arrived at Mitch's for paint last night.

For all you gauge haters check out the bow gauges on a Sunsation MCOB: http://sunsationboats.com/justleft077.htm
Pics 13+15 (bottom row). Typically there is a speedo, clock and air/water temp gauges mounted in the bow. It is a crowd pleaser for sure, people freak when they see a speedo in the bow.
