I am thinking of coming down. Do most people bring there boat and watch the kilo and races from the water? If so where are the best places to put in and also stay? Thanks :D

Beer and food. :D

It's a small town so is there food/beer stands etc.... I would assume?

Definitely better to bring your boat. Much better viewing and gives you alot more options between events. There is a nice ramp at Wichards Beach. The property was just sold but I have heard it will be available for the race. If not you can put in at Washinton Park. There is a nice Hampton Inn on 264 not to far from Fountain (5-7 miles). If you can't get in there there is a Days Inn and Holiday Inn that are closer but aren't as nice. If you go to the Kilos get on the water early thats normally when the big boys run.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn the last three years and never had a complaint. They are really nice and it's within walking distance of Blackbeards. Remember THAT, RA? :evilb:

i talked to carol price and she said it would be big this year and the bands on sat night you will have to have a ticket for it will be the sbi bbq and racers party . WICHARDS WILL BE OPEAN FOR VIEWING THIS YEAR DOINT KNOW ABOUT THE RAMP YET MRS CAROL WILL CALL ME BACK WHEN SHE HAS TIME . :drink:

there will be a street party 7 till 9 downtown on fri night . the boats will be there so the teams should be there . doin't know what elese is planed when i find out i'll post it . :drink:
