at port of egypt, you'll want to dine at the Barge...it's a Seafood joint...food's pretty good...
it's doubtful i'll make danforths, but if you make it to the greenwich/stamford area, the crab shell in stamford is good spot... i work a 1/4 mile from there...

Your not far from Times Square, so if you have the energy I'm sure you can catch a late show of Miami Vice.
Oh and if your bored with the Long Island / New England part of your trip and decide to change your plans, I'm heading to Wildwood, NJ tomorrow. I could be at Liberty Landing docks in the AM.

If you want to visit NYC just motor across the Hudson and just a bit north and look for Chelsea Pier/ Surfside 3 Marina
Chelsea Piers Maritime Ctr
(212) 336-6600
62 Chelsea Piers # 300
New York, NY 10011
Look for the HUGE driving range net which is next to the marina. You can dock part time there and visit parts of NYC by cab. Also check out the decommissioned aircraft carrier INTRPID not far from Chelsea Pier.
Have fun.....OH that marina is very safe/gated and security patroled 24/7

Re: Ok count down ...to Long Island Sound
Met our Kebecker friend and his buddies at Liberty Landing marina on Friday after the Miami Vice movie. Gave him a snow globe with a picture of my boat in it, a bag of ice (made from water ) and some Canadian Labatts beer. Did not want him to feel too far away from my homeland of ice and snow.
It was great to meet these folks, incredible bunch. All boats were gofasts equipped with full camper tops and screens for sleeping on the engine hatch cover. Could not figure out my flash attachment in the dark night, so could not post photos.
Christian also gave me 2 prized Coffee Crisp bars and Moslon Ex beer from up north. Much appreciated! One boat broke a drive and they towed it in, will continue the rest of the trip, then circle back to pick up the boat.
Best wishes for a successful cruise Christian and friends!!
