Not legal in NY, demo only, cars and boats. Nobody follows the law though.

I have a dealer tag. It is only to be used for demo/ testing purposes only.... We are just always doing a demo or testing... When ever I've been stopped they do ask me though... It's all in how you answer.

around here, most d tags you see are just dealers too cheap to pay taxes on their own stuff, most demo's and test drives go out with the tag on the floor in the back seat, they don't wast time putting it on, so if you see one screwed on you know its for personal use :D .....(not that there is anything wrong with that) :drink:
