Catalina Ski Race Pics

What a beautiful morning in sunny Southern California for an offshore ski race. Air temp was a balmy 72 degrees by 8 AM with little fog and wind. The ocean cooperated with small leftover wind swell. Could have been a record setting day for the courageous thugs that want to hang on to a thin rope behind a powerful offshore performance boat across the Catalina channel and back. My watch had the 1st guys back in under an hour.

Any chance you can email those pics to me? Thx. By the way, someone told me my old Larry Smith Scarab was in the race, did you happen to see it? You know it pretty well.

Do you have any photo's of Tony Adams? I heard he led most of the way until his skier gave out.

Adrenaline looks really sweet redone. I bet it's better in person.

Is she still for sale, or was she remodeled for a new owner?

Jody, no your old KV was not in the race. Paul is re-building some monster motors for it after popping the starboard motor twice

Twice??!!! He called me when the first one let go. It was a broken ring land. What happened the second time? he said he was going to put blowers on that thing....blown 700 cubic inch engines??? Wow. It was already pretty fast as it was.

Is he on this board?

Is there a new price/listing. I see the ad is still up for the canopied version. I aways loved that boat, and the history is cool.

I think they belive that the V will cut the water for the skier better than the Cat would do for it.
