performance boat owners Who have State Farm boat insurance in upstate NY ? After 2 months of having my 02 31 sonic with 496 mags insured thru State Farm they want to cancel me due to a determination that the boat is capable of high excessive speeds ?I had my 26 with them and other performance boat owners in the marina have ins. thru them with no problem ? My agent is fighting this !! funny thing the previous owner insured the boat thru them with no problem.

I had my 22 Talon with 300 ProMax with them in NJ and had no problem. Less than $400 year. Maybe at the higher level they're scrutinizing more.

When we bought our 29' Fountain w/ twin 454's State Farm would not even give us a quote. :mad: Even though we had all 3 of our cars, house, life insurance, personal property insurance, and a half dozen other policies with them. They would not even thank about it. Ended up finding the best deal with Farm Bureau.

The same exact thing happened to me last year with State Farm. Agent said no problem good rates and then they dropped the bomb on me one month later just before 4th of July. Had several go fast boats with them in the past, no losses, they dropped me like a bad habit. Nice customer service. I pulled everything I had out of their company. I say if you can't insure me tell me up front and there is no problems. Not after you have a binder and all seems well.
